de una historia: pasos hacia una flora del Part of a history: steps towards a flora of the Bask Country Some steps that have been useful for advancing in the knowledge of the flora of the Bask Country are remembered in the personal feeling of the author. There are underlined the beginning of Jean Prévost in the 17th century, the advances achieved by Xavier Arizaga in the 18th century, and the efforts of contemporary botanists. All they, walking the tightrope, have contributed to create infrastructures (mainly herbariums) to strengthen floristic knowledge and make it available for all. |
